I have very elastic tissue and it is important for me to have a shield that is the same size as my nipple. I was super excited to see these available in an 18 mm, however they seem to be closer to 20 mm. I’ve attached two photos one up against at 18 mm ruler and one up against 20 mm - in the 18 mm you can see the pink from the ruler. Given the price, and that I’m already 8 months postpartum, I don’t plan to order the 15 mm to see if those are a better fit for me. Really great concept, just didn’t work for me.
I am a second time mom. 1st was exclusively pumping and this time is a combo pumping and nursing. I have done it all from hand expression to nipple shields to pumpin pals. I've used every size from 19 to 24 with some lactation instruction. I've learned certain duckbills are better and that a well fitting flange with lube is paramount. These are it! I bought the 18mm. I can lean back, be hands free, and feel comfortable. The thinner silicone allows me to hand express without loss of suction. They come off well and haven't ripped my nipples. I love them. Bought 2 pair. A little pricey but you can't put a price on nipple comfort and feeding your child naturally. THANK YOU!

Sooo after trying lacteck, pumpin pals, plastic, beugen cushions, liquid shields, plastic with silicone inserts, wearable cups, legendairy milk inserts and I don’t even know what else I got thrush, back to back blisters, heavy mastitis 3 times, clogged ducts every day and nothing was working until these flanges came into my life! They may not work for some people but if you’re like me and you’re about to quit it all together plssss don’t hesitate and buy these! Thank me later :)))
