I bought the correct flange size but I am upset with the product because it does not attach appropriately to the breast pump. My flanges disconnect from the pump and I have been covered in milk almost every pump. They are less painful but they are causing a lot of loss of milk due to this poor attachment.

I love them!!!! As a second time around exclusively breastfeeding mama I needed help on quick and effective pumping session. I was provided with a lansionoh pump by my insurance and was iffy about it since I was a Medela girl with my first baby. The pump only came with the size flange that I did not need. Not surprised because I need a size 18 flange. (Cassie helped me discover this with my first baby). So I naturally needed to purchase a set of the correct size with lac teck. (Previously used with my first baby). Came back to Cassie for advice on resizing of my nipples and saw these new flange. I was willing to give them a try after all Cassie did change my pumping experience with my first baby. I expected a good product but I had an AMAZING experience with the first pumping session. I was able to fully finish in 10 minutes no side leaking at all. With my previous baby a good pumping session was 20 minutes and for me that was great. In my opinion Bare shield is a total game changer!!! I hope that who ever gives this a try gets the same amazing experience that I did.

I bought two sets now of these silicone flanges. I bought the wrong size first as I didn’t realize you need the size of your nipple and not typical flange size. They are seriously amazing. I had to size down and honestly wonder if I could go down one more size. But I love they way they suction to my whole breast. I typically don’t even wear a pumping bra! I don’t know how anyone uses hard plastic flanges after using these. I’d you’re thinking about getting them- do it! Just be sure of the size!

Sizing is way off with these flanges. I have the 15 & the 18mm. Both are huge. I measure at a 17mm and was very disappointed to find out these in no way will work for me. I have elastic nipples and I’m struggling to find the perfect flanges. Had high hopes for these. The 15s are more of a 19mm and the 18s are more 21mm. They don’t come smaller than a 15 so I can’t even purchase more to figure out my size. Such a bummer. Gave two stars because I do love how comfortable and flexible they are. Just wish the sizing was correct.

I have very elastic tissue and it is important for me to have a shield that is the same size as my nipple. I was super excited to see these available in an 18 mm, however they seem to be closer to 20 mm. I’ve attached two photos one up against at 18 mm ruler and one up against 20 mm - in the 18 mm you can see the pink from the ruler. Given the price, and that I’m already 8 months postpartum, I don’t plan to order the 15 mm to see if those are a better fit for me. Really great concept, just didn’t work for me.
